When one thinks of interlocking paving stones one often gets the idea of dog bone shape stones that fit together like a jigsaw puzzle; that might have been true decades ago when interlocking concrete paver first came onto the scene. That is not the case at all any longer. The interlocking comes from the fact that each stone cannot move independently from its neighbouring stone(s). That with the addition of Polymeric sand hold stones in place.
